Terms of Use
1. Who provides Damdit
Damdit is provided by Antonín Bureš, a sole proprietor registered in the Czech Trade Register, ID No. (IČO) 02035138, VAT ID (DIČ) CZ686100966, with a registered address at Červenáčkova 1673/18, 664 34 Kuřim, Czech Republic (“the provider”). In these terms, “Damdit” means the app, the account service and the website provided by the provider. Damdit is a product name, not a separate company.

2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the Damdit desktop app, including its command-line tool and MCP server, to your Damdit account, and to the website damdit.com. The app is available for Mac. Versions for Windows and Linux will be covered by these terms when they are released. By creating an account, starting a trial, or buying a subscription, you agree to these terms.
Purchases are made through Paddle (see section 6). Paddle’s own buyer terms also apply to the payment.
3. Your licence to use the app
While you have an active trial or subscription, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Damdit on up to 2 computers linked to your account. They can run any operating system Damdit is available for.
You may not:
- share your account or licence with other people;
- resell, sublicense, or rent the app;
- decompile, modify, or bypass the licence checks, except where the law expressly allows it;
- use Damdit in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others.
The app, including the command-line tool, is closed source. All rights not expressly granted remain with the provider.
4. Your account
You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that mailbox secure; anyone who can read it can sign in to your account. You can see and remove the computers linked to your account on damdit.com.
5. Free trial
New users can try Damdit free for 14 days with full features. No payment method is needed to start the trial. A trial is available once per person and per computer. To prevent repeat trials, the trial is linked to your account and to a salted hash of your computer’s hardware or system identifier, kept for 24 months as described in the Privacy Policy.
If you buy a subscription during the trial, the paid period starts on the day you pay and the rest of the trial ends.
6. Subscription, price and payment
- Damdit is offered as one plan: €149 per year or €15 per month, excluding VAT. The provider is registered for VAT in the Czech Republic. Paddle adds VAT for your country at checkout and shows the total before you pay.
- Paddle.com acts as the merchant of record and reseller. Paddle processes your payment, charges applicable taxes, and issues invoices. Your purchase contract for the payment is with Paddle under the Paddle Buyer Terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can switch between monthly and yearly billing in your account. The change takes effect immediately.
- Price changes: if the price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal. You will be told by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the renewal.
- If a payment fails, you keep full access for 14 days while Paddle retries. After that, the app switches to read-only until payment succeeds.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account (Paddle customer portal). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Details, including statutory withdrawal rights for consumers in the EU and UK, are in the Refund Policy.
8. When your trial or subscription ends
Damdit switches to read-only. Your projects, audits, and reports stay on your computer. You can open them and export reports, but you can’t run new audits. Damdit never deletes your local data because a subscription ended.
9. Licence checks and offline use
The app checks your licence with the Damdit account service. If it can’t reach the service, you can keep using the full app for up to 30 days. After that, it switches to read-only until it can check again.
10. What Damdit does and doesn’t do
- Damdit is read-only towards the websites you audit. It sends requests to those websites and reads their responses. It does not edit or publish anything on them.
- Automated audits have scope and technical limits. Damdit shows what it checked and where coverage was limited. It does not promise to find every issue, and its results are not a certification, security assessment, full accessibility review, or legal advice.
- Features such as PageSpeed Insights, Search Console and Webflow use third-party services. Their availability and terms are outside the provider’s control.
- The command-line tool and MCP server are bundled with the app. They let AI tools you choose, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Claude Desktop, run audits and read results on your computer. You can turn them off in Settings. The terms of your AI tool apply to what it does with the results.
- Automatic audits run on the schedule you set for a project. Each automatic audit is a full audit that runs on your computer; your computer needs to be on and you need to be logged in.
- Automatic audits, the command-line tool and the MCP server act only on your instruction or settings.
11. Websites you audit
Only audit websites you own or have permission to audit. An audit sends many requests to a website in a short time. You are responsible for choosing the target, for connected access keys, and for how you use and share results, including with AI tools.
12. Your data
Audit data, reports, and access keys for connected services stay on your computer and are never stored on Damdit’s servers. The account service stores only what the Privacy Policy describes, for the periods listed there. You are responsible for backing up your computer.
13. Updates
The app updates itself from download.damdit.com. Features may change over time. If the provider removes a core function you paid for during a paid period, you will be told by email at least 30 days before. If you don’t want to continue, you can cancel and get a pro-rata refund of the unused part of your paid period.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer and liability for intent or gross negligence.
Within that limit, the provider is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost business or lost data, and the provider’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Damdit in the 12 months before the claim.
Damdit reports what it found and what it could not check. Decisions you make based on its results are yours.
15. Suspension and termination
The provider may suspend or end an account that seriously breaches these terms, for example by sharing a licence or bypassing licence checks. The provider will tell you by email first and give you a chance to fix it, unless the breach is serious or repeated.
You can stop using Damdit and ask for your account to be deleted at any time by writing to support@damdit.com. The account is deleted within 30 days of the request. Cancel an active subscription first; deleting the account does not by itself cancel a subscription with Paddle. Billing records required by tax and accounting law are kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
An account with no active licence and no sign-in for 24 months is deleted. You will receive an email 30 days before the deletion, and signing in keeps the account.
Deleting your account does not delete anything on your computer.
16. Changes to these terms
The provider may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they apply to you. The date at the top shows the current version.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
Disputes go to the courts of the Czech Republic, unless the law lets a consumer bring them in the country where they live.
Consumers in the Czech Republic can use out-of-court dispute resolution with the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, www.coi.cz).
